    GROUP AND BANQUET COORDINATOR

    Sunridge Hotel Group is seeking a high-performing Group and Banquet Coordinator for our Courtyard and Residence Inn by Marriott properties located in Sedona, AZ. Proper candidate will be innovative, motivated & self-driven with an attention to detail, a robust catering knowledge and strong work ethic.

    This position's schedule will be dictated by group and event timelines. Most events will take place on evenings and weekends so availability these timeframes is a must. The ideal candidate will have a vast knowledge of catering and events, comfortability in contracting catering for groups, and is willing and eager to be hands on.

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    • Banquet and Group Support
      • Act as the pre-arrival and on property contact for groups and meeting events
      • Coordinate catering menus with clients and sign catering contracts
      • Create Banquet Events Orders (BEO's) and spearhead weekly BEO meeting with the sales and food & beverage teams
      • Assist in the hands on set up and tear down of banquet event spaces
      • Schedule and assist in group porterage needs
      • Assist in the banquet food service as needed for all meetings and events
      • Posting all charges for group and events on property as applicable
    • Sales Support
      • Assist clients with copies of receipts and folios when requested, especially when related to group bookings
      • Record/maintain sales efforts in CRM database as directed by Director of Sales
      • Assist Director of Sales in planning and executing effective Sales Blitz and/or Customer Events.
      • Maintain electronic & hard copy files for groups, meeting and negotiated accounts as needed and directed by Director of Sales
      Communication
      • Inform Director of Sales with any potential problems with clients, meetings or groups
      • Communicate with Director of Sales on a daily basis to determine daily goals and plans
      • Communicate with Food & Beverage leaders on a daily basis as needed
      REQUIREMENTS
    • Minimum of 1 years catering and event experience required: hospitality knowledge preferred.
    • Must be available evenings and weekends as needed. Schedule is dictated by booked group demand.
    • Must be able to use Google Sheets and Microsoft Office products.
    • A strong knowledge of hotel sales is preferred but not required
