    Position Summary:

    Manages the daily operations of the assigned department or function to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives.

    Reports to: Director, Surgical Services

    Ability to work flexible and sometimes long hours. Call may be required on weekdays, weekends and holidays.

    Knowledge and ability to apply AORN recommended practices

    1. Provides professional nursing care to patients during the perioperative phase of treatment.

    2. Facilitates efficient completion of the surgery schedule.

    3. Maintains organized work area.

    4. Assumes the responsibility of the professional nurse by demonstrating accountability and seeking

    opportunities for continued growth.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Graduate of accredited school of nursing

    Current State of NC nursing license

    BCLS required
