    Description


    Graco manufactures and markets premium equipment to move, measure, control, dispense and spray a wide variety of fluid and powder materials.

    JOB PURPOSEOperate CNC machines to safely produce parts that meet Graco-HiP quality requirements at the lowest cost in a timely manner while minimizing waste of materials and resources.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIESOperate a variety of CNC machines within a department.

    Maintain a clean, safe work areaAdjusts tools and replace as neededPerform daily maintenance of machines as required and keep supervisor informed of necessary maintenance beyond operator ability.

    Must read and understand work orders and blueprints for the parts being run (includes Geometric Tolerancing)

    Provide accurate inventory counts at all times and keep parts in appropriate areas.

    Perform necessary side operations during machine cycle tie as required ( i.e., deburring)Work as a team member to aid all shifts and support personnel to operate to departmental standards including quality and productivity goals.

    Other duties as assigned.

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or equivalent2 years of equivalent prior machining experienceAbility to pass HiP skill based training checklist for Level C MachinistTwo year qualifying machining program or a technical school certificate in machining (preferred)SKILLS Ability to read and understand CNC programs and operational layouts as requiredAbility to perform a sequence of operations under minimum supervision and consistently maintain the performance levels set for quality and quantity.

    Understanding of safety rules and regulations to prevent unsafe set-ups, operations, or acts which might cause injury to self, others, or environmentAbility to read and understand manufacturing drawingsKnowledge of hand measuring instruments, not limited to gauges, calipers, indicators, and micrometersUnderstanding of basic math, geometry, and algebraStrong PC skills and ability to work with Microsoft productsGood Interpersonal, written and oral communication skillsDESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONSTrade school training on CNC machinesGeometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing CertificatePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS In an 8-hr workday, must be able to sit 1 hr, stand 6 hrs, and walk 1 hrsA workday may exceed 8 hours to a maximum of no greater than 12 hoursPosition requires frequent bending and stooping, occasional use of fixed or portable stairs, crouching and kneeling and reaching above the shoulderMust occasionally lift and load up to 30 lbs and not to exceed 45 lbs where a use of a hoist may be necessaryRequires frequent repetitive elbow movements and simple grasping with both hands and occasional firm grasping and fine manipulation with both hands:
