The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time TH Medical Radiographer 1.

• Demonstrate the ability to independently perform a complete range of Obstetrics and Gynecology ultrasound examinations with high quality images based on the established protocols.
• Demonstrate the ability to prepare the Obstetrics and Gynecology ultrasound examinations preliminary reports.
• Demonstrate the ability to identify abnormalities and consult with the Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician on and as needed basis.
• Demonstrate the ability to assist in performing interventional ultrasound procedures.
• Ensure the accuracy of the patient's identify with the correct procedure.
• Conduct proper coordination of the work schedule to facilitate the patient's procedures.
• Perform the proper maintenance for the cleanliness of the ultrasound equipment.
• Demonstrate experience in the computerization of the patient information and the reporting system.
• Demonstrate the ability to teach Residents and the medical and diagnostic imaging students.
• Comply with University Hospital at Downstate departmental policies and procedures for compliance measures.
• Perform all work and procedures in a professional manner.

• ARDMS Certified Obstetrics and Gynecology Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.
• 2+ years of experience performing obstetrics and gynecology ultrasound procedures.

• Prior experience preferred in a hospital setting.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Diagnostic Medical Imaging.
