Spectrum / RF Engineer with Security Clearance - San Diego, United States - Systems Technology Forum Ltd
Description
Performs complex technical studies in satellite regulations, spectrum management, and licensing to support the development of MUOS.Represents the MUOS Program Office at national and international meetings and conferences, proposing and defending MUOS's positions and supporting the market access/licensing functions in acquiring the necessary authorizations around the globe.
Interfaces actively and directly with other teams (e.g., Regulatory, Legal, Engineering, Finance) to analyze, report, and advise on regulatory and spectrum management issues and engineering constraints that may affect the MUOS systems.
Prepares interference studies in support of frequency coordination discussions with other NGSO and GSO operators. Maintains and develops ITU filings in support of existing and future MUOS systems. Supports intelligence gathering and cooperation initiatives on the spectrum of other operators/administrations. Prepares technical material for licensing and market access applications worldwide. Prepares sharing studies with terrestrial and scientific services.Supports the technical teams in ensuring compliance with frequency coordination and regulatory requirements for testing and operations of existing and future MUOS systems and proposes effective and creative solutions.
