    Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Consumer and Professional products, has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic leader to fill the role of Senior Director of Marketing at our Global Headquarters in Sterling, Illinois.

    The Senior Director of Marketing North America Consumer (NAC) is responsible for leading the marketing strategy for the consumer division creating all product, channel, and marketing communication to drive sales, profit and market share in the consumer market. This role reports to and is a strategic thought partner with the VP of Sales and Marketing for the NAC division. This individual will lead, develop and motivate a diverse team that covers a wide area of knowledge and experience in eCommerce, retail analytics, market research, product lifecycle management, traditional and digital advertising, social media, direct response, packaging, industrial design, and other functions that will contribute to brand growth and improving consumer intimacy. In essence, this role is responsible for delivering on Wahl's vision to be the leading consumer brand in clippers, trimmers, pet, and massage businesses. This individual will also work closely with global marketing partners to ensure global alignment.

    The effective collaboration between sales and marketing is critical to the success of this division. This role will partner closely with the Divisional VP of Sales and the NAC sales team collaborating on retail strategy, channel products, and presentations and execute programs that grow our businesses with our retail partners.

    This role is a servant leader that inspires the team to execute end-to-end strategic marketing plans in collaboration with our sales force and retail partners. Direct and indirect reports to this position include the following areas of responsibility: Product Management, Channel Management, Marketing Communications, Graphic Design, Digital Marketing, Industrial Design, Packaging Engineering, Market Analytics, Market Research, and eCommerce.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
    1. Marketing Communication: Leads the translation of the Wahl brand, mission, and values into annual and multi-year strategic marketing communication plans. This includes leading and integrating all aspects of integrated marketing communications. This person will lead the marketing team to develop and plan strong end-to-end marketing strategies and plans that use brand, marketing, advertising, and customer KPIs to measure success.
    2. Brand Strategy: Articulates the strategy and develops brand stories/marketing strategies that increase brand preference, brand engagement, and reinforce Wahl's distinctiveness in the marketplace. Develops plans that increases engagement with and retains current customers, and attracts/grows new customers resulting in increased sales, profit, and market share.
    3. Product Strategy: Leads product management partnering with new product development to optimize Wahl's Global product mix that grows market share in all segments. Meet annual goals while optimizing marketing investment and ROI metrics. Directs appropriate channel and tactical strategies.
    4. Channel Marketing: Work side by side with our NAC sales force to develop strategies, products and presentations that create market growth with our retail partners. A key part of this is market data analysis and an ability to develop and adapt products to channel specific needs when strategically prudent.
    5. Ecommerce: Create impactful strategies covering all ecommerce channels. Closely collaborate with global ecommerce teams to maximize local while thinking global.
    6. Financial Results: Responsible for hitting all divisional sales and profit goals while developing and maintaining the annual marketing budget.
    7. Compliance: Works with legal and compliance departments to ensure all legal standards applicable to marketing, particularly as it relates to privacy policy and customer data is followed. Ensures employees adhere to legal and operational compliance requirements.
    8. Servant Leadership: Provide coaching and direction to inspire employees to maximize results. Identify and communicate key responsibilities and practices, create an environment that supports personal development and continuous improvement, and drives teamwork. Oversees training and development of marketing team and makes effective staffing decisions. Conducts and ensures the completion of performance reviews.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field. Master's degree desirable
    • 10+ years as a strategic marketing leader
    • Consumer packaged goods experience, durable goods preferred.
    • Strategic competency and ability to demonstrate a track record of success.
    • Experience in leading and developing a high-performance marketing team that work across multiple categories and product portfolios.
    • Experience in developing marketing programs and go-to-market strategies for multiple retail channels.
    • Expert knowledge of owned, earned, paid and shared media.
    • Marketing competencies include strategic planning, digital campaigns, brand communications, consumer insights, social, paid search, digital analytics, content creation and public relations.
    • Knowledge of programmatic advertising, direct response important
    • Experience with Amazon vendor central and Amazon advertising
    • High degree of business acumen - classic marketing, budget management and P&L understanding.
    • Ability to effectively communicate at executive level.
    • Ability to work cross functionally with multiple business functions.
    • Ability to clearly articulate a compelling vision and strategy.
    • Lead agency & partner relationships.
    • Analytical mindset and ability to synthesize complex information, connect ideas with data, and present in digestible, easy to understand format.
