    • Base salary (Commensurate with experience)

    Position Summary:


    • Provides diagnostic and therapeutic services to our behavioral health population with the highest quality, respect and compassion.
    • Works as part of a care team of clinicians, case managers, medical assistance, other behavioral health professional to deliver comprehensive care.
    • Reports to the Chief Medical Officer/Associate Medical Director and Senior Director of BH.

    Essential Functions:

    • Provide psychiatric evaluation, medication management, diagnostic review, and psychopharm services for the specialty mental health populations within Clinica Sierra Vista.
    • Consults with a multidisciplinary team of CSV physicians and mental health providers regarding psychiatric aspects of the patients care.
    • Documents in the electronic medical records, including medication lists and eprescribing.
    • Manages and maintains a panel of patients and promotes a constant communication between the primary care physician and the behavioral health team.
    • Assures quality of care for all patients at all times and regularly participates in clinic Peer Review and Quality Assurance Programs.
    • Adheres to and complies with state and federal standards.
    • Provides phonetriage/consultation in rare emergent situations afterhours.
    • Required to see appointment and walkin patients
    • Completes various forms for Patients including: School Medication forms, JV220, SSI, medical clearance for SUD OP participation, etc.
    • Reviews lab results as well as drugdrug interactions on every visit. Provides prescriptions refills for patients.

    Responsibilities: On a scheduled basis may be required to work at any facility. Other duties as required by the Medical Director and or Senior Director of BH.


    Education, and Skills Required:

    • Completion of a residency training program and a valid California State License are required at the time of appointment.
    • A knowledge of general medicine and psychiatry; current developments in the field of psychiatry; hospital and clinic organization management and procedures.
