    Video IT Technician


    The Video IT Technician is responsible to assist in the daily routines of file preparation and rendering for Abeka Academy.

    The Technician also supports editing staff with equipment and skills need to perform their tasks.

    Operate Systems
    Assist with daily routines for file ingest and management and proxy file creation. Assist with rendering completed, edited projects.

    Support Production
    Assist editors with set-up work and access to workstations. Troubleshoot problems with equipment and/or human error.

    Maintain the Archives
    Create and maintain the archive database for all Abeka Academy files. Manage data for other projects as assigned.

    Prepare and Distribute Files
    Assist in the preparation of files for delivery to DVD vendors. Assist in the rendering of files for streaming. Maintain the streaming servers and associated equipment.

    Education

    Bachelor's Degree:
    Computer Science, Bachelor's Degree (Required)

    Work Experience
    1+ years in computer systems management, 1+ years in network management, 5+ years in IT management for video systems

    Physical Requirements and Skills
    Analytical, Detailed, Sitting for long periods of time, Stand for long periods of time, Written and Verbal Communications (Inactive)
