    Job DescriptionSalary: $13-15/ hour

    Job Starts Immediately Locals only/ No Per Diem

    Job Duties:

    • Assist welders in performing hot work.
    • Assisting all trades in the set and tear down of various projects' shipboard.
    • General shipyard labor.
    • Moving equipment and supplies to multiple locations on the ship.
    • Policing area for flammable/combustible material and keeping it safely away from hot work.
    • Cleaning area during cooldown and at end of shift.
    • Staying alert and aware of hazardous situations or fires that may occur during the course of homework.
    • Other duties as assigned.


    Requirements:

    • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
    • Must pass background and drug screen.
    • 1 year of shipyard experience.
    • Maritime OSHA 10 (preferred)
    • Firewatch certification
    • Respirator fit certification.
    • Able to work Full-Time and OT
    • Able to work in confined spaces.
    • Able to wear a half face respirator for extended periods.
    • Able to go up and down ship stairs.
    • Able to carry 50 pounds.
    • Able to stand for extended periods.
