StevenDouglas is exclusively working with a well-known, successful local restaurant group that is actively seeking a VP of Finance Reporting directly to the CEO, the VP of Finance will oversee all Accounting & Finance operations for this organization with 25+ locations. The role will have high exposure to the C-Suite, Board Members, and key investors. This person will have the opportunity to lead a new ERP implementation, and will play a critical role in improving financial reporting functions for the firm.

Responsibilities:

• Oversees the preparation of GAAP accrual basis financials, multi-location transactions and payments, and supporting work paper preparation for external audit requests
• Collaborates with the finance team and to ensure all financial reporting needs of the organization are met in the most effective and efficient manner.
• Own the annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and strategic planning processes, including identifying and quantifying risks and opportunities for the Company.
• Drive improvements to budgeting and forecasting accuracy and operational performance.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial presentations for the leadership team
• Hires, develops, and retains the best talent through competency-based hiring and selection, career development, and motivational strategies.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in Accounting & Finance, with 5+ years of experience in a financial leadership role
• Restaurant Accounting experience required
• Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting and reporting
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to report to Senior Management.
