    SUMMARY:

    Responsible for following prescribed standards of CNC operations, Set-ups of prototype and established processes. Responsible for meeting cycle times of those processes in the machine shop. Should have knowledge of, and be responsible for supporting lean manufacturing principles and teamwork throughout the company. Act as a positive role model in accordance with Altek's desired behaviors. Work with a sense of urgency to promote on time delivery and adhere to the goals and expectations as defined by management.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Follow the procedures set forth in the work instructions or by the Supervisor and/or Lead(s)
    • Follow prescribed standards of CNC operations, set-ups of established processes and meeting cycle times of those processes in the machine shop Strong attention to detail
    • Exhibit critical thinking
    • Be proactive in maintaining established company policies and manufacturing strategies
    • Take an active role in organizing and improving current processes when necessary
    • Adhere to Altek's Vision, core values, behaviors, and quality policy to ensure quality to customers, both internal and external

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • CNC Machining Certificate or minimum of 3 years as a machine shop operator
    • Knowledge and skill to pre-stage raw material, perform set-ups, conduct tool changes, run product and make tool off-sets for proven processes
    • Knowledge of blue print reading and a working knowledge of Geometric tolerancing and calculating
    • Knowledge of mathematical formulas needed to calculate product dimensioning
    • Knowledge and skill with all portable measuring devices used in the production processes here at Altek
    • Must be able to read work instructions, quality documents, and other pertinent written material
