Description
The Radiology Aide works as an integral part of the Radiology healthcare team, responsible for maintaining a safe environment in which quality patient care is delivered.
The Radiology Aide is responsible for assisting Breast Imaging Radiologists, Radiologic Technologists and/or other Radiology staff as instructed during breast procedures such as breast ultrasound, breast biopsies, room turnover, and directing patients in and out of the Radiology suite(s).
Qualificationso Able to communicate effectively; verbal and non-verbal communication skills are important.
o Willingness to initiate communication/conversation with patients and families. Excellent patient care skills are necessary due to patient anxiety.
o Ability to perform safely in a fast-paced environment.
