Abbott Nutrition in Casa Grande, Arizona currently has an opening for a Senior Microbiologist.

The Senior Microbiologist will oversee and assist the operation of the Plant Microbiology QA Laboratories including:

• Environmental Monitoring Program, including equipment swabs, air samples, retort cooling water, ingredient water, and product samples.
• Ingredient, in process, and finished product testing.
• Methods and procedures are appropriately followed.
• CAPA activities are followed through to completion.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.
• You'll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with Lab Management to work within operating budget for the Microbiology QA laboratories.
• Oversee to ensure budgetary and staff requirements are properly met.
• Interface with Division and Corporate QA, Manufacturing, Engineering, R&D, Regulatory Affairs and Purchasing to ensure timely completion of project activities.
• Direct plant initiated microbiological certification activities resulting from new or modified manufacturing facilities or processes.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING
Required

Bachelor's Degree - preferrable in Food Science, Microbiology or related area

OR

An equivalent combination of educations and work experience (7+ years)
