    Your Role:


    The Director, Strategic Insights & Analytics is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting financial data, market trends, and economic indicators to provide valuable insights and recommendations for investment, financial planning, and decision-making purposes.

    What will you be doing?

    SFR Thought Leader:
    Organize and communicate third party market data, economic data, demographic data and industry trends and present state of industry monthly and quarterly to provide context for company results

    Market Research:

    Research and analyze market trends, economic indicators, and industry-specific data to identify opportunities and risks that may affect financial performance.


    Data Collection:
    Gather and compile data from various sources, including financial reports, databases, industry publications, and government reports.

    Peer Comparisons:
    Manage company attendance on public earnings calls, perform peer comparisons on key financial data quarterly, distribute peer materials, maintain library of supplemental data, become expert on comparability of operating metrics between HPA and its peers

    Financial Analysis:
    Tie industrywide data to company financials, analyze company results and operating metrics against broader industry and peer landscape.

    Financial Modeling:
    Create financial models and forecasts to project future financial performance, assess risk, and make informed investment decisions.

    Company Valuation:

    Evaluate the value of companies, assets, or investments using various valuation methods, such as discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis, comparable company analysis (comps), and other relevant techniques.

    Possible generation or commission of primary research internally or externally.

    Investment Recommendations:
    May support capital markets team to prepare and present reports with investment recommendations, buy/sell decisions, and investment strategies to support decision-making

    Client Communication:
    Interact with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders to communicate research findings, answer questions, and provide insights on financial matters.

    Continuous Learning:

    Stay updated on industry trends, financial products, and research methodologies to enhance analytical skills and maintain a competitive edge.

    Applicants holding a real estate license will need to have their license assigned to one of the company's brokerages after 30 days of employment.


    What we look for:

    Qualifications:


    Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field (a master's degree may be preferred for more senior roles).

    Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis.
    Knowledge of financial markets, investment strategies, and economic principles.
    I ndustry experience in SFR or multi-family
    Background in investor relations, market research or Wall Street research
    Industry connection a plus
    Proficiency in using financial software and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Bloomberg, Reuters).
    Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
    Ethical and compliance-focused approach to financial research.
