    • Your role will be to work with guidance and direction on tasks and smaller projects, and as a team member of larger projects under the guidance of a Professional Engineer. You will participate in the evaluation, recommendation, and specification for engineered systems for a project verifying compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards/practices.

    Responsibilities
    • Generate of 3-D Building Information Models (BIM) and 3-D Structural Analysis and Design Models utilizing today's most advanced software including Autodesk REVIT and AutoCAD, TEKLA, Bentley's RAM Products, CSI's SAP and ETABS, ENERCALC and many others
    • Proficient with Finite Element Analysis software including: RAM Products, CSI's SAP and ETABS, ENERCALC and many others
    • Structural analysis, design, and detailing of steel, concrete, masonry and timber systems
    • Design coordination with other design professionals including Architects and engineers of various disciplines
    • Basic interpretation of Construction Drawings and building codes – local and international
    • Preparation of construction documents within REVIT and AutoCAD environments
    • Prepare computations, specifications, and reports of limited scope and complexity
    • Perform construction related services including shop drawing reviews, response to requests for information, periodic construction site observation, and occasional specialized structural inspections

    Requirements

    Qualifications
    • Bachelor or Master of Science Degree from ABET Accredited Program (Civil or Architectural Engineering)
    • Work experience within the design or construction industry
    • Engineer Intern (passed Fundamentals of Engineering Exam)
    • Desire and ability to clearly communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and clients
    • Desire to develop into a well-rounded engineer with an understanding of the business of engineering
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Physical Requirements
    • Candidate must be capable of conducting extensive and exhaustive construction site visits safely and independently. Physical requirements include but are not limited to:
    • Walking through an active construction site
    • Climbing a ladder
    • Ability to maneuver into tight spaces while observing and measuring
    • Ability to communicate efficiently with construction site management/representatives
