    The Network Systems Administrator will be responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of our organization's network and computer systems.

    They will oversee the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of all network hardware, software, and related infrastructure to ensure smooth and reliable operations.

    Additionally, they will be tasked with troubleshooting network and system issues, providing technical support to end-users, and implementing security measures to protect against cyber threats.


    Requirements:

    Major Responsibilities:
    Install, configure, and maintain the organization's network infrastructure, including routers, firewalls, switches, and other networking equipment.
    Configure and manage network services such as DNS, DHCP, WSUS, VPN, and VLANs to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
    Install, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems, and related software applications including SQL databases.
    Monitor network performance and security, identifying and resolving issues proactively to minimize downtime and ensure data integrity.
    Implement and enforce security measures to protect against unauthorized access, viruses, malware, and other cyber threats.

    Perform regular data backups and disaster recovery procedures to ensure business continuity in the event of system failures or disasters.

    Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues promptly.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or 5+ years relevant experience.

    Minimum Competencies:
    Knowledgeable in industry best-practices for computer system security
    Experience with SQL database management, backup, and data extraction
    Ability to work in a hands-on environment with other Kaney team members
    Network management experience, including VLAN with VoIP and Data VLANs
    Experience with SonicWALL Routers, Cisco Switches, VMware, and APEX Backup

    Preferred Qualifications:
    Experience working in an environment supporting DFARS and NIST

    Preferred Competencies:
    Experience working in a government and/or manufacturing environment
    MRP system management experience preferably in Epicor
    Some experience maintaining SolidWorks PDM software
    Management of computers used in manufacturing and aerospace test equipment

    Operational Details / Work Environment:
    Work will be performed in a joint office and manufacturing environment. Hearing protection and safety glasses may be required in some workspaces.

    This job is primarily spent in front of a computer with the occasional lifting of heavy equipment up to 50lbs.

    Up to 25% travel could be required.
