We are searching for a talented demand planner to ensure our company's operations are timely, efficient, and cost-effective. You will assist in all demand planning duties including estimating future product demand, analyzing inventory flow, and developing forecast models.
To succeed in this role, you should be professional, highly-analytical, and possess excellent communication skills. The successful candidate should also have an in-depth knowledge of advanced mathematical and forecasting policies.
You will be part of a team that is managing strategic projects and continuous improvement efforts for Michelin's Peosta Materials Team. You will require a sharp business focus, a collaborative style of working, and a proactive and critical mindset. It is essential that you can think strategically, connect the dots in the bigger picture, as well as be comfortable in the details of the deliverables to drive operational improvements. The role is expected to simultaneously handle multiple projects within the department.
KEY EXPECTED ACHIEVEMENTS
Ensures collected data and current demand cleansing and accuracy before elaborating forecast
Influences/challenges stakeholders to validate the proposed forecasts, based on qualitative and quantitative analyses
Implements demand collaboration with customers
Elaborates phase in /phase out demand forecast by collaborating with region sales
Elaborates scenarios to establish monthly, quarterly, and annual demand forecasts using the existing models
Elaborates the mix to feed the S&OP
Steers demand forecast accuracy and applies corrective action plan
Reconciles forecast variance analysis with business trends and recommends progress plans to organization
Disaggregates demand plan based on the mix to feed operations
Maintains mix elaboration process maturity and facilitates the progress plan
Effectively uses available analysis tools and demonstrates capabilities in MS Excel
Implement and contribute to system/process improvements within group, with manager's guidance.
Develops performance metrics, reporting tools, and establishes ad-hoc reporting to enhance department effectiveness
Automate highly manual and error-prone activities to support cross-functional processes
Requirements and Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Relevant training and/or certifications as a demand planner
Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge
Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures
Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies
Address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner
