- Under close supervision of higher level technicians or staff professionals, assist on tasks and perform basic construction materials testing and observations duties.
- Will be placed in a progressively increased role of training and responsibility in work assignments.
- Tabulate, prepare, and submit data and observation in the form of written and digital reports as work is performed for daily transmittal to the Group Delta Project Manager.
- Communicate with project manager, engineering technicians, client representative, contractor's representative and others as applicable regarding the construction site, project requirements, and testing, observation, and inspection requirements and results.
- Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles and work areas.
- Adhere to strict safety standards.
- Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.
- Performs other related duties as assigned, such as assisting field operations and performing sample pick-ups and deliveries.
- 2yrs experience in similar construction materials and soil laboratory.
- Technical Certifications (i.e., CalTrans and/or ACI strength/masonry), preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Obtain key certifications such as ACI, Caltrans, and NICET with reasonable training by Group Delta
- Knowledge on reporting asphalt, concrete, steel, masonry, grout and aggregates.
