- Assist Unit Manager with work which involves planning, implementing, and evaluating the technical and administrative components of a diverse rehabilitation program consisting of multiple caseloads, third-party programs, and a limited number of specialized rehabilitation programs
- Personnel administration, staff development/training, and consultation/technical assistance provided to subordinate staff
- Work may include other related assignments as determined by Unit Manager
- Assist individuals on the caseload with job development, job placement and other services to complete a rehabilitation plan for employment
- In-depth knowledge of casework methodology and techniques of rehabilitation counseling

This Rehabilitation Counselor in Charge (CIC) position is in the Gastonia office. This position supervises Rehabilitation Counselors providing services to students and adults with disabilities in transitioning into work.

Master's degree in rehabilitation counseling or counseling from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of experience as a rehabilitation counselor and successful completion of the agency requirements for independent counselor status;
or
Current certification of as a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor by the Commission of Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC), two years of experience as a rehabilitation counselor and successful completion of the agency s requirements for independent counselor status;
or
an equivalent combination of education and experience.
