    Description*Purpose
    Leverage your hands-on professional engineering experience and creativity working side by side with senior engineers to deliver exceptional construction engineering and construction management services to clients including the Illinois Department of Transportation, the Illinois Tollway, and Local Agencies.Key Responsibilities
    Leadership and Direction+ Supervise work of all project personnel to ensure that it meets the highest professional standards.+ Provide mentorship through counsel, guidance, and knowledge to junior staff.
    At the Operational and Company Level+ Assist with the marketing of the firm's capabilities to establish new clients and enhance relationships with existing clients.+ Coordinate with other internal departments to meet project requirements.
    Do the Work+ Provide guidance, leadership and training to inspection team.+ Communicate with clients, contractors and staff on various construction projects.+ Coordinate with stakeholders.+ Read and interpret complex contract documents.+ Oversee projects to ensure that the work is executed on time and on budget and in accordance with the client's requirements and within company policies and procedures.+ Provide work assignments and review performance to ensure the efficient, cost-effective utilization of staff.+ Facilitate and chair pre-construction and construction progress meetings.+ Manage activities such as layout, inspection, documentation, and pay estimates.+ Resolve design/field issues.+ Review monthly contractor pay estimates and recommend approval.+ Proactively monitor traffic control and protection.+ Coordinate and monitor materials testing.

    Minimum Requirements+ Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering+ Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Illinois+ Fifteen (15) years' professional engineering experience+ Experience as Resident Engineer on IDOT and Tollway projects+ Excellent written and oral communications+ Excellent organizational and change management skills+ Ability to lead teams in a collaborative environment+ IDOT documentation certification required. IDOT HMA, PCC and Field Density and Inspection Certifications preferred
