Advanced Analyticsand AI are high on the agenda at UCB and we are looking tostrengthen our internal team of AI expertswith a particular focus on sales & marketing.

In this context weare looking for an outstanding data resource proficient with Python & Sparkto contribute to the development of analytics workflows focused on insightsgeneration, prescriptive analytics and decision support apps.

Responsibilities:

• Assemblelarge, complex data sets that meet functional/non-functional businessrequirements.
• Identify,design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manualprocesses, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greaterscalability, etc.
• Createdata tools for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them inbuilding and optimizing their results
• Helpto drive the analytical scope and method for projects, including formulatingand shaping data integration, analytics methods and novel visualizations
• Utilizinga diverse array of technologies and data science toolsets as needed, primarilyPython & Spark, but also Scala, Neo4j, Azure, R, Docker, AWS, Databricks,Qubole...
• Communicateideas, approaches and results with peers and stakeholders

Requirements:

• Masteryof Python and Spark to create pipelines for data scientists to use (at least 3years of intensive handson experience)
• Advanceddegree in a relevant discipline such as: Statistics, Applied Mathematics,Operations Research/Optimization, Computer Science, Computational/TheoreticalPhysics, Data Science/visualization, Machine Learning, Electrical/ComputerEngineering or Health Sciences (e.g. Bioengineering /Bioinformatics)
• Experiencein extracting, cleaning, preparing and modeling data. Experience withcommandline scripting, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experiencewith sales & marketing analytics
• Strongpresentation and communication skills towards peer data scientists andnontechnical stakeholders
• Abilityto work individually and in teams
• Experiencewith the healthcare / pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
