    Description



    Fisher Associates is seeking a skilled Bridge Project Engineer to join our dynamic Transportation Group. As a key member of the Structures Team, you will play a crucial role in the design, analysis, construction, and maintenance of various structures, such as buildings, bridges, dams, and other infrastructure.

    Key Responsibilities:


    • Develop detailed design plans, drawings, and specifications for bridges and related structures.
    • Provide technical expertise for specialized design tasks.
    • Perform and oversee the day-to-day technical design tasks associated with a project.
    • Coordinate regularly with the technical staff to complete the project within the assigned project budget and on schedule.
    • Understand all aspects of preparing bridge design plans and construction bid packages.
    • Complete field inspections and reports for bridge and culvert inspections.
    • Effectively complete assignments related to bridge inspection, bridge load rating and analysis, and all aspects of concrete/steel bridge and foundation design.
    • Develop plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
    • Coordinate with reviewers and other disciplines to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
    • Work collaboratively with other team members, consultants, and our clients.
    • Provide technical support during the construction phase, which may involve addressing design-related queries from contractors, conducting site visits, and reviewing construction progress to ensure it aligns with the design intent.

    Requirements



    Education & Experience


    • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
    • 10 - 15 years minimum of transportation experience, structures/bridge design experience preferred
    • Professional Engineering License (PE) or ability to obtain it.
    • Experience with MicroStation, STAAD, Bridge Design Software preferred.
