- Able to remove and install new residential and commercial HVAC equipment
- Knowledge of HVAC equipment, gauges, meters, reclaimers, and other HVAC equipment
- Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains HVAC equipment, steam boilers, and water-cooled chillers
- Knowledge of gas boilers and centrifugal chillers and their operation
- Knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials common to the electrical trade
- Installs, repairs, and maintains motors, transformers, generators, lights, appliances, circuits, wiring, and other electrical system equipment and components in compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations
- Operates a variety of electrical testing equipment in determining electrical malfunctions
- Manages inventory of parts and supplies and reports any needs to the Buildings Operation Manager for order when necessary
- Must lift and move heavy objects, furniture, desks, etc.
- Change HVAC filters and check belts and equipment for HVAC when needed
- Maintains a clean and organized work environment to ensure the safety of self and others as well as maintain the safety standards of Asbury Theological Seminary
- Maintains an observable commitment to Asbury Theological Seminary's Personnel Policies and the Ethos Statement
- Ability to perform tasks relating to basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry in order to fulfill general maintenance tasks as necessary
- Ability to lift/move 50 lbs. on a regular basis as necessary
- Must be available for emergency problems on an on-call basis; including but not limited to:
- Emergencies that require attention outside of normal business hours
- Inclement weather conditions requiring the employee to come to campus and clear sidewalks, roads, etc.

- Excellent oral communication in order to work effectively with other staff/faculty
- Excellent comprehension of the written English language
- Works well independently as well as in a team environment

Position Summary:
The HVAC Technician repairs, maintains, and troubleshoots HVAC equipment: residential, commercial, and industrial. They are responsible for work done on the seminary's gas-fueled, steam boilers, centrifugal chillers, walk-in coolers, and freezers. The HVAC Tech. will also perform maintenance/troubleshoot on water fountains, ice machines, and refrigerators. Additionally, they are responsible for all repairs, maintenance, and installation of wiring, motors, transformers, generators, lighting, and other electrical.
