    Responsibilities
    • Performs detailed physical examination of residents on admission and focused examinations based on residents' health problems and clinical presentation.
    • Assesses each resident for physical, psychological, cognitive, social, and spiritual needs. Plans and implements interventions to meet these needs.
    • Assists the interdisciplinary team in planning resident care and developing a written plan of care.
    • Reviews laboratory and other diagnostic study results. Reports abnormal findings to the physician.
    • Assesses resident for pain and manages resident's pain proactively and effectively.
    • Recognizes health problems and treatments that may cause pain and administers pharmacologic and complementary interventions to prevent discomfort.
    • Gives complete and quality nursing care in accordance with established standards of Gerontological Nursing Practice, state and federal regulations and facility policies and procedures.
    Qualifications
    • Minimum of 6 months experience as an LPN
    • Long term care experience a plus
