Now, DV group affiliates include two broker dealers, a cryptocurrency market making firm, and a bourgeoning investment adviser.Overview:
    We are currently looking for a Data Center Engineer to take ownership of DV's colocation and data center facilities globally. This person will work closely with the other Technology teams to deploy, manage, and troubleshoot technology in all of DV Trading's data center locations.Responsibilities:
    • Ensure the consistent and resilient operation for all DV data centers
    • Install and cable switches, servers, and appliances
    • Set standards for cabling, rack layouts, and data center operations
    • Identify opportunities to reduce and minimize latency within DV infrastructure
    • Assist with managing capacity and expansion planning
    • Monitor environmental conditions of all data centers
    • Maintain documentation within DCIM tool
    • Maintain optimal A/C and power conditions
    • Assist with troubleshooting hardware and network connectivity issues
    • Work with remote-hands at other colocation facilities to deploy and troubleshoot gear
    • Perform Windows & Linux server administration
    Requirements:
    • 5+ years of hands-on data center engineering experience
    • Familiarity with HP, IBM, and Dell Servers, Blades, SAN and Cisco equipment, including internal components
    • Familiarity with CAT5/6 and fiber optic cabling, as well as SFP's and other optic devices
    • Previous hands-on Windows and Linux server administration experience preferred
    • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal team members and external vendors
    • Must be a team player and self-starter; will often need to work autonomously and during off-hour change windows
    • Strong documentation skills to capture architecture details, procedures, and other relevant data
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Regular local travel (approximately 75% of the time); occasional international travel
    • Must have valid driver's license and passport
    • Must have reliable transportation
