About the Company:
Product Support plays a crucial role in maintaining quality standards and fostering effective communication between manufacturing units and Volkswagen of America.

Job Description:
The Data Engineer position is responsible for designing, testing, and managing data sources to facilitate in-depth analysis. In addition to this, the role entails improving work processes, and creating and maintaining Python-based reporting functions.

Requirements:

Solid grasp of statistical modeling, predictive analysis, and data mining
Practical experience with Python and relevant packages
Demonstrated background in IT/Systems/Database
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to simplify and articulate complex quantitative analysis

Desired Skills:

Automotive industry knowledge/experience
Familiarity with automotive warranty systems and processes
Competency in data extraction tools like SQL, Business Objects, Cognos, etc.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Applied Math, Statistics, Data Analytics, Data Science, or a relevant field

Desired:
Master's degree in a related field is a plus
