    We're hiring a Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer Our Interior Systems Division is looking for a Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer for its manufacturing facility in Saline, MI.

    You'll work on challenges that matterThis job will require you to:
    Approve or Reject supplier sort instructionsApprove or Reject supplier 8D responses for supplier quality issuesApprove or Reject the PPAPs provided from BOP and raw material suppliers and in accordance with program requirements by signing corresponding PSWsAuthority to issue debits to suppliers for costs related to quality issuesManage suppliers' quality concerns from initial containment through permanent corrective actions and read across/best practices shared - 50% of timeReview and investigation of suspect parts to determine if supplier issue or notConference calls with suppliers and cross-functional teamRequesting return of material authorization for defective material as neededRequesting certification markingsSupplier visits to confirm corrective actionsUpdate and manage QSS or similar process with supporting documentation for supplier concerns -including initiating debit alerts to recoup the costs incurred for non conforming components - 10% of timeVerifying specific steps of 8D's are completed robustly and on time for problem solvingMaking sure the 8D corrective actions ae uploaded in the QSS system and accepting or rejecting the responsesEntering debit memos to charge back costs incurred as result of poor quality componentsReview and approve Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) for existing Bought-Out Parts (BOP)-30% of timeReviewing supplier PPAP documentation for engineering changes, sub-supplier changes, location changes and new parts in serial life (current production)

    Verifying that supplier PPAP documentation is uploaded in our electronic PPAP portal and uploading documents when necessaryCommunicating Customer Specific Requirements for PPAPs to the suppliersRequesting dimensional reports and warrants for annual validation of PPAP'd componentsThe other 10% of time is captured in the tasks below:

    Consolidate required supplier quality indicators for the plant and communicate them to the SQA ManagerTracking metrics for Key Process IndicatorsManage the process audits of existing BOP where the parts are the subject of a problem solving actionManage supplier progress plans in co-operation with the plant buyerReview the process of new BOP with the support and the co-operation of the Advanced Supplier Quality (ASQ) Engineer, the Supplier Quality Development Engineer, the Program Quality Lead (if applicable), and/or the Program Quality EngineerNotify formally suppliers of their self certification status in co-operation with the plant buyer, if applicableAdhere to IATF16949 and FES through FCP'sSupport commitments established in the ISO 14001 Environmental Policy.

    Follow requirements established in Saline Plant ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) procedures and work instructions.
    Ensure full respect of HSE rules and regulations.

    Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or technical field with a specialization in quality2+ years' experience in quality or manufacturing in an industrial environmentResults oriented with strong written and oral communications skillsAbility to work in a matrixed organizationInternational mind set, overseas experience a plusProficient level of English required, bi-or multi-lingual a plusAble to lift, move parts as applicable to job We believe people matterFaurecia is an equal opportunity employer.
