    Prevention Specialist

    Crossroads Health is a leader in the behavioral health field, providing quality life-changing services to children, adolescents, young adults, adults and families. Our Training & Consultation Department is hiring for this role.

    About the Role

    The Prevention Specialist offers effective and evidence-based prevention services across Lake County through school systems and community groups. This position serves youth directly and engages with adult allies as part of a collaborative team.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Deliver trauma-informed prevention presentations and programming to youth across Lake County, including elementary through high school ages and community groups.
    • Collaborate with community partners and provide consultation services.
    • Demonstrate knowledge of prevention approaches, child and adolescent development, and mental/behavioral health in child and youth populations.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Counseling, Social Work or related field.
    • At least 2 years' experience working with youth.
    • Prior experience working in schools is preferred.
    • OBTAIN minimum of Registered Applicant (RA) Credential within 60 days of hire and advance to OSPSA within two years or Licensed in the State of Ohio with LPC, LPCC, LSW, LISW, LCDCII or higher.
    • OCPSA, OCPS, OCPC certification is preferred.
    • A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance with minimum liability limits are required.

    $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.
