Work hard, have fun and make history with Amazon's Legal team. We are looking for a smart, motivated attorney to provide legal support to Amazon's business.

The attorney will be an integral part of the business so needs to be extremely comfortable providing counsel directly to business leadership on both legal and business issues.

Some specific responsibilities include reviewing and advising on legal, customer experience and regulatory requirements for new business initiatives, drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, providing training to business teams on legal and regulatory matters, providing legal review of innovative new marketing practices and materials, and streamlining processes for supporting business clients to ensure we deliver a great customer experience.

make high-judgment assessments of risk while effectively dealing with ambiguity; manage high volumes of tasks and projects with little guidance; continually improve legal support programs and automate repetitive tasks; react with appropriate urgency and calmness to situations and events that require a quick response or turnaround; and roll up their sleeves in a typical start-up fashion to help the business with legal and non-legal issues.

JD or international equivalent
~10+ years as a practicing attorney, with at least two of those years at a major multinational law firm
~ Ability to work independently and directly with all levels of legal and business partners
Ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through, and meet deadlines
