Job Description
As an SAP Sr Application Developer, you will be responsible for participating in the planning, development, maintenance, and enhancement of SAP applications and the functional areas of SAP package with the primary focus of Purchase to Pay.
Work with the Project Managers, Senior Developers in other areas and Business Stakeholders to understand the processes, workflows, and requirements.
Meet business requirements and objectives by developing and implementing SAP modification and/or configuration changes. Customize SAP functionality to satisfy business requirements and business process design.
Adheres to SAP standards by maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of SAP best practices.
Participate in design, development and testing of new features based on the requirements provided by the customers or internal specifications.
Also, work with the team on design and code review sessions for the new features that are being implemented.Responsible for identifying, troubleshooting issues/problems, and debugging the ABAP code in addition to the maintenance of the existing systems.
This includes participation in on-call rotation and projects that are conducted between 6pm and 8am weekdays, any time of day on Saturdays and Sundays and holidays.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.Qualifications
Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a closely related field with coursework in technology-related subjects.
7 years of extensive experience in SAP technical development using but not limited to ABAP.
Mastery of Object-oriented concepts, Odata is a must.
Experience with CDS views, FIORI, Eclipse, SAP data services, S/4 is a plus.
Experience with End-to-End SAP implementations is a plus.
Solid understanding of SAP data model in SD/FI/MM and WM modules.
Clear understanding of ERP modules such as Warehouse Management (WM), Materials Management (MM), Sales & Distribution (SD), Finance (FI) and their inter-dependencies in SAP environment.
An understanding of the software development lifecycles, planning, and implementation.Experience in the sales and marketing aspects of the distribution industry, a plus.
Ability to travel up to 20%
