    Full Time - 3x12s (7:00am-7:30pm) scheduled Monday-Friday

    Job Description

    The MRI Technologist will perform technical MRI assignments, applying complex skills, judgment, and knowledge of Magnetic Resonance Imaging principles to conduct diagnostic MRI studies as requested.

    The role requires adherence to infection control protocols following Universal Precautions and the ability to provide care across all patient age groups.

    Responsibilities

    Operate MRI equipment, coils, and related devices accurately.

    Evaluate image quality and ensure proper positioning and coil selection.

    Demonstrate competency in Radiology Information System (RIS) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) for image processing and troubleshooting.

    Uphold magnet safety protocols for self and patients using appropriate screening techniques.

    Administer MRI and contrast media following prescribed techniques.

    Recognize and respond to emergency situations related to contrast media reactions.

    Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

    A.A.S. degree in Radiologic Technology from an AMA-approved program.

    NYS license and certification as a radiologic, nuclear medicine, or ultrasound technologist.

    Formal MRI-specific training preferred.

    1-2 years of experience in diagnostic radiology, with MRI experience preferred.

    Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, through AHA or RQI.
