    Description

    Position Title: Culinary Executive Chef

    Company Overview: Occasions Caterers is a prestigious full-service catering company based in Washington DC, renowned for executing flawless and elegant events since 1986. We specialize in designing unique experiences through food, design, and hospitality that reflect the individual style and vision of our clients.

    Job Summary: As the Culinary Executive Chef, you will oversee kitchen operations, ensuring a safe and hygienic work environment while preparing meals in line with company standards. This role is ideal for a dynamic and entrepreneurial culinary professional.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Plans and adjusts menus following set guidelines
    • Follows standardized recipes and portioning standards, ensuring quality of meals
    • Trains kitchen staff in food preparation, safety, and sanitation
    • Establishes cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment and work areas
    • Manages inventory and minimizes food waste
    • Ensures compliance with health, sanitation, and safety regulations
    • Attends meetings and professional development programs

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • A.S. or equivalent experience
    • 3-5 years of culinary/kitchen management experience
    • Extensive catering experience preferred
    • Experience in high-volume foodservice operations
    • Strong knowledge of food trends, quality, and presentation
    • Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office
    • ServSafe certification is a plus
