    APQP Engineer Sr

    The APQP Engineer Sr creates value for their assigned site by leading continuous improvement projects towards defect-free processes that satisfy customer needs and achieve business results. This role is hybrid, but there is a three day a week in-office requirement for our Neillsville, WI location.

    Responsibilities
    • Responsible for applicable systems related to plant customer issues such as corrective requests.
    • Leads containment activities.
    • Ensures products and processes meet initial and long-term quality standards (Examples: IATF, customer specific requirements, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Product Parts Approval Process (PPAP) documentation submittal etc.).
    • Leads and /or supports change management activities for current product and Value Package Introduction (VPI) by verifying products and processes to ensure key measures are met and analyzing data for decision support.
    • Supports and / or leads quality audits.
    • Serves as a Quality technical resource to other functional areas.
    • Coaches and mentors quality practices with less experienced team members.
    • Leads the prioritization of continuous improvement with cross functional key business partners by utilizing industry proven methodology (Example: lean manufacturing, 7 step problem solving, Intelligent Quality Tools and Methods (IQTM), etc.).
    • Basic understanding and application to Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) core tools.
    • Leads and/or supports Safe Launch initiatives through VPI.
    Qualifications

    Education, Licenses, Certifications:
    • Demonstrated role competence is required.
    • College, university, or equivalent degree in Engineering or a related technical or scientific subject or experience equivalent is required. STEM degree preferred.
    • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
    Experience:
    • Intermediate level of experience required.
    • Preferably 3-5 years' experience in Manufacturing, Engineering or Program Management role in the automotive industry or a similarly regulated industry.
    Additional Responsibilities Unique to the Position:
    • Improves relationships and responsiveness with key strategic customers such as Cummins, PACCAR, Deere, Deutz, Wabtec and Volvo.
    • Drive digital transformation within quality for new product launches.
    • Drives consistent and sustainable processes and methods into Neillsville plant operations and quality.
    • Increases and improve interaction, lessons learned, and cross communication with global sister plants.
    • Provides clear and effective leadership for the FIRG panels. This includes driving effective problem solving, FTA and RCA thus resulting in fewer issues with customers as new products are introduced.
    • Facilitates influence within global APD/APC project teams to ensure APQP items are completed efficiently and effectively. This includes coaching, training, and mentoring of employees in other functional areas.
    • Provides ownership and key contact for application of the PTC process for new products.
    • Allows for participation in projects addressing key strategic global issues (e.g. cleanliness) and driving those results into plants globally.
    • Provide quality oversight of prototype, alpha, and beta builds in location of build.
    • Support risk mitigation identified in Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA)
    Base salary range: $84,800 - $127,200

    Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate's qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
