- Direct an organizational model that meets the needs of faculty and staff, operate efficiently, ensure compliance, and maintain a high-level of customer service.
- Serves as primary troubleshooter for administrative, human resources and financial needs.
- Measure performance using key performance metrics. Provide coaching, mentoring, and direction to direct and indirect reports.
- Supports recruitment efforts of faculty within Center for Perinatal Medicine.
- Liaison to Clinical Research Services, Research Administration, Office of Technology and Commercialization, other departments, and external customers.
- Interfaces with hospital legal team, monitors contract negotiation process and acts as intermediary with vendors.
- Responsible for fiscal management of Center for Perinatal Research internal and external funds, often including approval of spending, and tracking of time allocation per fund.
- Demonstrates knowledge of grant funding and related compliance.
- Demonstrates appropriate management of financial resources.
- Maintains cost effectiveness, maximizing available resources.
- In collaboration with Institute leadership.
- Collaborates with Director, Research Facilities with space management and utilization according the AWRI policies.
- Master's Degree in business, health administration, or related field.
- At least 5 years of progressive leadership experience in an academic medical center or other related field.
- Demonstrate substantial understanding of healthcare administration, and application of sound management principles and practices.
- Previous management or leadership experience in a complex setting preferably.
- Previous experience in a pediatric or child health related area desirable.
- Flexible and innovative thinker with demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a matrix management reporting model/ environment.
- Highly collaborative work style.
- Interpersonal skills needed for counseling subordinate supervisors and resolving complex employee and multisystem problems.
