    In this role, the Tax Analyst in our State & Local Tax Indirect tax group will be responsible for day-to-day indirect tax services for our clients in various industries. In this role, you will review, and file sales and use tax returns for a wide variety of multinational Fortune 1000 and SEC corporate clients, analyze and reconcile data to support the sales and use tax compliance process, retrieve, process, and finalize tax data and log, research, and respond to client tax notices and inquiries.

    Position Overview:

    • Responsible for day-to-day indirect tax services for our clients in various industries
    • Support clients on various sales and use tax functions, compliance, and consulting matters
    • Prepare, review, and file sales and use tax returns
    • Analyze and reconcile data to support the sales and use tax compliance process
    • Retrieve, process, and finalize tax data
    • Reconcile client's internal sales and use tax general ledger accounts
    • Log, research, and respond to client tax notices and inquiries
    • Assist in implementing, upgrading, and maintaining tax technology tools
    • File refund claims, protests, and voluntary disclosures as required
    • Implement and support procedural changes due to regulatory requirements
    • Remain current on legislative changes made to applicable tax laws
    • Supply data as required for audit support
    Qualifications Sought:
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field of study. Entry-level candidates with technical aptitude and interest in a career in tax will be considered and are encouraged to apply
    • Knowledge of local sales and use tax experience is preferred
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite software
    • Familiarity with standard tax applications and research tools is preferred
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Strong analytical and research skills
    • Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environment
    • Capable of building and maintaining strong relationships with internal team members and client personnel
    • Ability to work additional hours as needed and to travel to local client locations
