    Summary: Our firm is looking for a Trial Attorney to assist with our heavy caseload. In this role, you will collaborate with other attorneys in our office, managing multiple cases at a time. You will prepare litigation reports and risk assessments, draft legal documents, and make court appearances on behalf of our clients. In preparation for trial, you will also oversee discovery, perform research, and negotiate favorable settlements when possible. Applicants for this position must have a license to practice law and litigation experience with a proven record of success.

    Duties and Responsibilities: As a trial attorney, your responsibilities include meeting with clients, working with a legal team to gather evidence and witnesses, assembling the case, and presenting it in the trial. Your duties in court are to show evidence, question the witnesses, and present your case to sway the jury or judge in favor of your client. You also file motions and appeals and work on settlements out of court. In addition to a thorough law knowledge, you need excellent public speaking and debate skills.

    Schedule: This position is ON-SITE in our Fort. Lauderdale office, with no remote/ hybrid schedule. Schedule is Monday – Friday, 8-hour shifts, 9:00am-6:30pm

    Requirements:

    Qualifications:

    · Law degree from an accredited law school

    · Licensed to practice law in the State of Florida

    · 3+ years of litigation experience, with an emphasis in plaintiff's bodily injury preferred

    · In-depth knowledge of civil procedure and torts

    · Must be able to draft, review legal documents, and train with senior attorneys

    · Strong ability to perform research, problem solve and effectively communicate the results

    · Communicate with clients, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel

    · Can work within defined processes and procedures
