Are you a seasoned professional with a passion for advancing energy storage solutions? This VP Engineering position will involve leading the engineering and manufacturing of battery modules and packs, catering to both utility-scale and mobile applications.
In this influential role, you will drive design decisions, material selections, manufacturing partner identification, and testing processes to ensure projects maintain the highest quality standards.
Qualifications:
Hold a Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field, with Mechanical Engineering a preference.
Accumulate over a decade of hands-on experience in engineering battery modules, packs, and system integration, focusing on Lithium-Ion Batteries.
Possess deep expertise in material selection, cooling strategies, and fire propagation risk mitigation for battery modules and packs.
Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of Li battery technologies, manufacturing tactics, and safety protocols.
Demonstrate a successful history of collaboration with third-party contract manufacturers and service providers.
Showcase excellent communication abilities and a proactive work ethic.
Responsibilities:
Undertake the design, manufacturing, and comprehensive testing of battery modules and packs to ensure optimal performance.
Carefully curate materials and select third-party manufacturers while closely overseeing the entire manufacturing process.
Lead a group of mechanical, electrical, controls engineers.
Play a pivotal role in facilitating successful system integration.
Cultivate innovation by conceptualizing novel approaches and constructing project plans to guide future initiatives.
