    Total Openings: 1Req # : | Type: Full Time | Posted: 5/4/2021 | Edited: N/A | Fee: 29% Percentage Computed On Base SalaryYOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe primary responsibilities of this role, Health Systems Medical Director MD, are to: Serve as the medical lead for the assigned national/regional accounts and other identified healthcare organizations Develop strategic medical partnerships related to clinical, evidence-based and disease management/health outcome initiatives Serve as a medical expert with the ability and credibility to address current healthcare initiatives from quality and population health to hands-on patient care Work closely with IDN and Market Access account teams and leadership to define strategic objectives and field collaboration/tactics to achieve team goals Execute a programmed approach for Health System/IDN C-Suite and executive leadership relationship development including but not limited to oversight of executive decision makers and thought leaders (Chief Medical Officers, Chief Innovation Officers, VP/Directors of Population Health, Quality & Safety, etc.) and engagement plans that align to institutional stakeholder prioritization Serve as building and managing relationships with population-based healthcare decision makers to facilitate scientific exchange on disease state management and the value of Bayer products, provide insights to internal teams on key evidence gaps relevant to healthcare decision-makers, and to identify and facilitate research, education, and other collaborations Provide input on data generation or analysis activities by HEOR, clinical development, and other internal stakeholders to inform optimal Health Systems understanding of Bayer products Ensure compliant collaboration and a cross-functional team approach to meet customer medical needs with medical (MSLs, HEOR, Medical Directors), when appropriate Support the integration of customer insight in shaping medical strategies, tactics, tools, approaches and business intelligence Provide insight, input and support towards development of Medical information and Health outcomes communication strategy and action planning for various healthcare organizations within USMA Ensure compliant behavior with relevant policies, guidelines and SOPs for interactions with Healthcare Professionals Build strategic cross-functional alliances and initiatives with appropriate Medical Associations, and Professional Societies Develop specific medical action plans (MAP) for the assigned accounts per approved policies, procedures and guidelines for medical interface Provide feedback medical input on U.S.

    More specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

    Required Qualifications:
    M.D./D.O.

    Degree and active licensure required with US Board certification/eligibility highly preferred Minimum of 8+ years of progressive health systems/IDN experience and/or pharma industry experience.

    Relevant work experience at a health system/IDN may substitute for direct industry experience for candidates with a minimum of 5+ years of experience Proven track record of success in establishing relationships with healthcare leadership especially, C-suite members (CMO, CIO/CTO, COO, CEO) , executive leadership (VP Population Health, VP Transformation/Strategy/Innovation, Pharmacy, Quality, and Medical Thought leaders (TLs), professional Managed Care organizations, Quality Organizations (e.g.

    NCQA, NKF, NQF, PQA)

    Strong understanding and experience with cross-functional relationships in remote locations Strong presentation skills and knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint required Strong oral and written communication skills are required Willingness to travel 60% or more of the time Strong analytical skills, including in-depth knowledge of PROs, claims database analysis methodologies, and real-world evidence generation relevant to payers and healthcare systems and FDA, OIG guidelines Ability to effectively communicate clinical, reimbursement value and outcomes assessments to internal and external stakeholders Manage and meet deadlines while working on multiple parallel projects and shift priorities as needed Strong attention to detail, strategic orientation, proactive outlook, and the ability to lead projects through to completionPreferred Qualifications:
