    Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic - Manufacturing

    Department: Asphalt Plants

    Major Role and Purpose:

    • Install and maintain equipment used in the manufacturing of Asphalt.

    Description of Duties:

    • Responsible for leading plant mechanics.
    • Dismantle, repair and re-assemble heavy industrial machinery.
    • Install equipment such as shafting and conveyors.
    • Work with a variety of hand tools including measuring tools, welding and brazing equipment.
    • Determine which machines, techniques, and tools to use when moving equipment and completing jobs.
    • Perform all other duties deemed necessary or assigned.

    Education:

    • High School Diploma or GED.

    Work Experience:

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or similar job.
    • 3-5 years of experience with various pieces of heavy equipment.
    • Knowledge in hydraulics, belt systems, motors, and other industrial machine mechanisms.
    • In depth knowledge of construction equipment and machinery.
    • Reading blueprints and schematics.

    Physical Demands:

    • Job requires the following motions: climbing, bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, vibrating, and reaching.
    • Requires lifting up to 50 lbs.
    • Overtime work is required.
    • Potential exposure to extremes of hot or cold weather.
