    Barre and Mat Pilates Instructor, Washington DC

    We are seeking highly motivated and certified Barre and Mat Pilates Instructors to join our team at Equinox in Washington DC.

    Responsibilities:

    • Deliver the Equinox Experience to members by teaching high-energy and engaging classes that cater to different fitness levels.
    • Adhere to class descriptions and modify intensity levels as needed to ensure a safe and effective workout for participants.
    • Continuously monitor exercise intensity throughout each class and make adjustments to meet the needs of all attendees.
    • Ensure classes begin and end on time, and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
    • Teach regular classes and minimize subbing opportunities to provide consistency for members.
    • Communicate effectively with Group Fitness Managers regarding member feedback, equipment maintenance, scheduling, and subbing.

    Qualifications:

    • A current certification in Barre and/or Mat Pilates is required.
    • Experience in teaching group fitness classes is essential.
    • CPR/AED certification must be up-to-date and maintained.
    • In-depth knowledge of basic anatomy, kinesiology, contraindicated exercises, and exercise modifications for various populations is necessary.
    • A willingness to learn and pursue ongoing professional development and education is expected.
    • Friendly, vibrant, and outgoing personalities are a must.
