The Hospital Pharmacist provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care to inpatients by ensuring safe, effective, and evidence-based medication use.The pharmacist role collaborates closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize therapeutic outcomes,
prevent medication errors,
and support clinical decision-making.
The Hospital Pharmacist also plays a key role in sterile compounding,
medication reconciliation,
and compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
- Clinical Medication Review & Verification: Evaluate,
verify,
and optimize inpatient medication orders for safety,
accuracy,
calculations. - Patient & Staff Education: Provide
medication education
to patients when needed
and serve as a drug-information resource for clinicians
and hospital staff.
