    JOB SUMMARY:

    This role involves providing personal care and health-related services to maintain the well-being of clients residing at RM Management. The responsibilities include assisting clients with daily tasks according to the Service Agreement and Medication Administration Record, as well as other delegated services by the RN.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Preferably High School education with CNA/NAR or HHA Certificate
    • Experience in working with the elderly

    SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

    Key requirements for this role are:

    • Having a sensitivity for working with the elderly
    • Effective communication skills with clients, families, and staff
    • Being punctual with good interpersonal skills
    • Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions and medical terminology
    • Understanding and following infection control precautions
    • Responsibility for cell phone usage while on duty

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND TASKS:

    Job Function: Medication Administration

    Tasks:

    • Administer medications according to the Medication Administration Record (MAR)
    • Follow medication administration policies and procedures
    • Reorder medications as necessary
    • Adhere to infection control measures
    • Other medication administration duties as assigned

    Job Function: Provide personal and direct care to clients

    Tasks:

    • Assist clients with daily living activities
    • Help with personal laundry and housekeeping
    • Ensure a clean environment and promote independence
    • Perform routine procedures as delegated

    Job Function: Documenting and reporting

    Tasks:

    • Document any changes in clients' condition and report to the RN Supervisor
    • Complete incident reports and medication-related documentation
    • Recognize and report abnormal signs and symptoms
    • Document completed duties with clients during each shift

    Job Function: Complete essential paperwork

    Tasks:

    • Organize and file clients' papers
    • Review and sign client care plans and service records
    • Read communication logs regularly
    • Complete other necessary documentation

    Job Function: Knowledge and compliance with state regulations

    Tasks:

    • Understand and adhere to policies for vulnerable adults, rights, and privacy
    • Ensure compliance with regulations and standards
    • Complete required training hours
    • Stay up to date with health tests

    Job Function: Activity Programming

    Tasks:

    • Encourage client participation in activities
    • Lead and organize activity programs
    • Socialize with clients and incorporate new ideas into programming

    Job Function: Participate and function effectively as a team member

    Tasks:

    • Maintain positive relationships with colleagues
    • Provide support as needed for 24-hour staffing
    • Communicate changes in care needs to the team and families
    • Participate actively in staff meetings
    • Remain calm and compassionate in various situations
    • Respond promptly to duties and emergencies
    • Facilitate new staff training

    Job Function: Other duties as assigned

    Tasks:

    • Support the mission and values of RM Management

    Work Environment:

    General Strength

    Moderate Work Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting of objects up to 10 lbs.
