Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties Maintain the ability to perform any/all tasks within the plasma center and supervise donor flowEnsures that accurate and thorough documentation of necessary records related to the donor collection is performed within ImmunoTek procedures, policies, and other applicable requirementsAssure facility is maintained in a neat and clean condition and all equipment is kept in good working orderRoutinely perform operational and compliance reviews to assure the center is following company policies and customer requirements, as it applies to the donation process and donor flow.
Assist in the training of new employees, retraining of current employees, perform employee performance observations, and initiate immediate corrective actionsAssist in machine/device resource managementAssist Assistant Manager in the identification and interviewing of line staff candidates for available positionsBuild rapport with donors to ensure overall customer service satisfaction and maintain donor retentionReport all unsafe situations or conditions to managementAssist with the development and implementation of marketing initiativesAssist in the creation of the employee scheduleAssist in the coordination of breaks and staffing to ensure efficient donor processingAssist in end-of-day closing operationsAssist in the reporting of minor donor complaintsMust be trained in all line-staff operations of the centerMust attend all staff meetings and training sessionsMaintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor, and center information.
QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredOne (1) year experience in a fast-paced, customer service related industry requiredAbility to become certified as a Phlebotomist, DCT 2, Plasma Processor, and Designated Trainer within three (2) months of accepting the positionAbility to complete PCS training, certification, repair, and troubleshoot PCS machines within four (4) months of accepting positionKnowledge, Skills, AbilitiesStrong organizational skills and attention to detail to handle multiple tasks, short deadlines, frequent interruptions, and shifting priorities in support of changing company objectivesStrong verbal and written communication skillsPossess leadership/supervisory skillsAbility to interpret a wide variety of technical instructionsAbility to work with a team and collaborate with othersAbility to maintain a professional demeanor during all interactions with donors, fellow employees, and vendorsExcellent customer service skillsStrong decision-making, and problem-solving skills to analyze situationsMaintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor, and center informationMaintain thorough familiarity and compliance with all state and federal regulations, FDA, OSHA, CLIA, cGMP and ImmunoTek company proceduresAbility to train and develop staff as neededOther duties, as assignedPhysical RequirementsUse hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hearFrequent leaning, bending, stooping, crouching, and reaching above the shoulders and below the kneeAbility to train in plasma collection areasAbility to stand for extended periods of time for up to four (4) hours at a timeAbility to lift, tug, pull up to fifty (50) poundsAbility to travel by plane, or car as required to train or assist other centers as neededWork EnvironmentTypical work environment with moderate noise levelMay be exposed to freezing temperatures for short periods of timeOccupational exposure to bloodborne pathogensDisclaimerThis job description is construed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed.
