- Candidate will work in all phases of tax planning, tax preparation, review, compliance, and research.
- Communicate with tax department as well as work closely with team members to ensure tax work is completed timely according to due dates.
- Keep track of assignments which are partially completed or on extension.
- Communicate with clients on an as needed basis to follow up on missing items.
- Ability to apply knowledge of current issues in tax, regulatory requirements, and industry specific concerns to clients and be able to identify where they may impact a client and recommend strategies.
- Be proficient in the preparation of various tax returns, including, but not limited to: Individual, Fiduciary, Corporate, Partnership, and Multistate.
- Assist with the execution of external audit and other attest engagements of various clients' in accordance with relevant regulatory and professional auditing and assurance standards
- Prepare, analyze, and verify annual reports, financial statements, and other records, using Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Maintain a working knowledge of and research findings regarding accounting literature trends and technical issues relevant to the client's industry
- Assist team with completed all tax tasks and special projects.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting (Required)
- CPA or CPA candidate
- At least 5+ years of experience in a CPA firm
- Experience using UltraTax CS, CCH Axcess/Prosystems fx, Checkpoint, Microsoft Office Suite and Intuit products (Preferred)
- Able to work independently and within a team environment
- Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal
- Detail oriented and capable of multi-tasking, prioritizing and managing time effectively

The Senior Tax & Accounting candidate is responsible for monitoring compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations to prepare tax returns, perform estimations, analysis, and planning. They are responsible for hands-on, day to day tax preparation and reconciliation of tax data, tax notice correspondence, and all other related tax responsibilities and special projects.
