The Health Technician (Dietetic)-Food Service Customer Support position provides administrative and customer service support for the food service program at the William S. Middleton VA Hospital - Madison - WI.
Responsibilities
- Handles patient meal service orders - enters meal orders into Dietetics Software system Provides professional and courteous customer service via telephone - e-mail - and in-person Collaborates with Dietitians regarding Food/Drug Interactions notifying clinical staff of potential issues with meal service delivery Interprets diet activity communicates patient concerns to registered dietitian or dietetic technician Verifies physician orders performs other related duties as assigned DESIGNATED DRUG-TESTING POSITION Applicants tentatively selected may be subject to urinalysis prior to appointment applicants who refuse will be denied employment Selection at lower grade level does not guarantee promotion full performance level Work Schedule Various tours during operating hours 6:00 AM 6:45 PM Daily Telework AD HOC As determined by agency policy Virtual This is not virtual position Position Description/PD# Health Technician Dietetic Food Service Customer Support EHRM/PD99855S Financial Disclosure Report Not required Physical Requirements requires walking standing bending lifting carrying items such as food trays instruction materials books manuals NCC Associate functions require long periods sitting moving office environment including repetitive motion activities hands fingers extensive keyboard computer mouse use answering holding telephone phone writing work requires continuous standing sitting walking frequently stooping reaching pushing pulling bending lifts moves objects weighing up to pounds pushing loaded carts trays nourishments Incumbent subject periods continuous standing sitting walking frequent stooping reaching pushing pulling bending Frequently lifts pushes carts trays nourishments
