    Description

    Provide direct mental health medical care; including but not limited to: obtaining histories, ordering and interpreting appropriate lab and x-ray studies, establishing diagnosis, and initiating treatment plan.

    Provide patient education to promote wellness and support disease management process. Full time position will be responsible for approximately 97 billable hours per month, based on clinical and non-clinical responsibilities. Reviews all cases referred to by therapists and/or other medical practitioners.
    Maintain confidentiality regarding Hillcrest Family Services, its clients, and employees. Provides supervision to nursing staff in conjunction with the Director and lead Therapist. Shares information and resources to assist other programs in helping clients meet needs related to health care. Establishes a professional network within the Dubuque community. Will consider being a Preceptor for NP students as directed by Director of Mental Health Services. Will follow clinic procedures and policies. Perform other tasks as delegated by the Director of Mental Health Services and/or direct supervisor.
