    New Life has a direct hire opportunity for a Senior Procurement Manager position near Youngstown Ohio


    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE SENIOR PROCUREMENT MANAGER


    Develop and implement a focused and competitive supply chain strategy in the global arena for North America - US, Mexico, and Canada that improves product integrity, quality, and performance.

    This position is critical for Distribution to maintain a competitive advantage and has a direct link to the success and profitability of the company.

    Responsible for $100M plus annual purchasing spend across a global supply base in regional and international suppliers.


    Collaborate with Commercial team in Sales and Operations Process to align forward market demand profile to purchasing spend on long lead time products (circa 6 months).


    Develop, plan, and manage a raw material supply base which ensures the identification of items critical to the process, enhances the internal customer process, and adds value while creating competitive buying and facilitatingcost/savings/reductionsbetween internal customers/suppliers.

    Take a lead role in establishing procurement standards or specifications for raw material items critical to the process.

    Measure and analyze cost reduction of raw material items. Maintain the proper inventory levels on an item basis and manage the overall inventory within proper levels.

    Align with quality to improve supplier quality metric performance and supplier scorecard assessments.

    This position also manages the overall office administrative staff in US and Mexico.

    Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.


    REQUIRED FOR THE SENIOR PROCUREMENT MANAGER
    4-year college degree requirement, preferably in Business Management, Procurement, or related field.

    6+ years of relatable experience and over 6 years ofmanagement/leadershipexperience in a procurement capacity.

    Experience in negotiating with Asian and European suppliers required.

    Experience building purchasing strategies to align with P/L expectations for up to a 3-year period.

    Experience applying management expertise to set direction, resolve problems, and provide guidance to employees in own area.

    Ability to plan strategically and adapt area/department plans and priorities to address business and operational challenges.

    Advanced knowledge of global mills and their capabilities to supply product.

    Advanced knowledge of market, economic, and other factors which effect continuity of supply.

    Customer focused.

    Ability to structure tasks and manage changing priorities.

    Ability to objectively evaluate others' performance.

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
