I.General Job DescriptionThis position is responsible for learning the diagnosis and repair of all vehicles and equipment serviced by the Company's facilities.
Apprentice Service Technicians are expected to learn how to perform with professional competence as it relates to quality of work, product knowledge, and customer service.
This position is an entry-level position, intended to introduce employees to the demands and responsibilities of a Service Technician 1.
This position will be evaluated on the ability to quickly learn and master the duties and responsibilities of a Service Technician within 1-2 years.

ResponsibilitiesLevel One Lube TechnicianHelper and intermediaryEnginesElectricalService and R&R batteries.
Load test and replace alternators.
Light repairs, R&R assemblies and bulbs, simple wiringLoad test starter and R&RChassis and SuspensionReplace shocks.
Inspect components and report findings.
Administrative ResponsibilitiesFollow shop policies and procedures.
Report directly to supervisor 70-90% of the time.
Typing detailed stories on repairs performedClean up shop bay. II. Minimum Job Qualifications18 years of age.
High school graduate or GEDMinimum tool requirements (see below).Minimum of 0-2 years of direct mechanic experience on heavy trucks or equipment - or a combination of experience PLUS vocational training, trade or technical school degree/certification of completion.
III.Desired Job QualificationsHigh school graduate or GEDMinimum of 2 years of direct mechanic experience on heavy trucks or equipment Ability to perform vehicle lubrication systems and D.O.T.
safety inspections.Dependable team player with a positive attitude.
