- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and recorded inventory.
- Implement inventory control procedures to minimize losses, damages, and obsolete inventory.
- Prepare inventory-related financial reports, including inventory balances, cost of goods sold (COGS), and inventory turnover ratios.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline inventory management processes and enhance efficiency.
- Recommend and implement improvements to inventory control systems, procedures, and policies.
- Identify and address root causes of inventory discrepancies to prevent recurrence.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls related to inventory management.
- Assist in internal and external audits by providing accurate inventory records and supporting documentation.
- Implement corrective actions based on audit findings to strengthen inventory management practices.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders across departments to coordinate inventory activities and resolve issues promptly.
- Work closely with purchasing and production teams to forecast inventory needs and optimize inventory levels.
- Collaborate with the finance team to incorporate inventory data into financial planning and budgeting processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and inventory management concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with inventory management software (e.g., ERP systems).
