    What the Role Delivers

    In this role, the successful candidate will enable the North American Region to fulfill the supply plan by working with 3rdparty manufacturing and raw material suppliers.This role will also have the opportunity to enable the global supply plan by arranging global shipments. Additionally, this position will complete several purchasing/supply chain projects which could include: contract negotiation, process scale-ups at 3rdparty manufacturers and/or sourcing new materials.Finally, the successful candidate will be able to interact with colleagues around the world to improve their Supply Chain and Purchasing skill sets.

    KeyResponsibilities

    In order of relative importance

    • Allow AgroFresh to efficiently run our day-to-day business by completing the necessary Purchasing transaction in SAP system.
    • Enable the global supply of materials by manage the vendor relationship with 3rd party manufacturers, raw material providers, and external sites
    • Ensure the AgroFresh business meets their cost saving targets by completing North American purchasing projects and/or creating new vendor relationship for the company.
    • Grow the AgroFresh manufacturing knowledge base by developing a vendor database with scoring functionality.
    • Train fellow AgroFresh colleagues by leading the North American Superusers group

    What the Job Requires

    • Bachelor's degree in a discipline demonstrating logical thinking is required;Prefer Supply Chain Management
    • Relevant experience in business supply chain strongly preferred.
    • Minimal travel (~ 10%) will be required.

    These skills and experiences are highly desirable; however, they do not preclude exceptions based on an individual's performance history and demonstrated potential.

    • Experience with SAP a strong plus
    • Experience leading projects/using MS Project a strong plus
    • Strong communication skills required
    • Strong ability to multi-task.
    • Strong MS Excel and Word skills required
    • Strong Math skills required
    • Strong computer skilled required
    • Foreign language skilled preferred (Spanish/French/Mandrin – Preferred)

    Local Details

    • Hybrid role based in Philadelphia or Spring House with the opportunity to work from home a portion of the time
